The Graduation of the First Cohort of Columbia University Executive Program
Marking a Significant Leadership Development Milestone
Nesma & Partners is proud to announce the successful graduation of 14 participants from the prestigious Columbia University Executive Program. The nine-month program, led by Dr. Ibrahim Odeh and the Global Leaders in Construction Management (GLCM) team, offered advanced learning and leadership development focused on megaprojects, industry best practices, and global trends.
Beyond traditional project management, the program emphasized the critical role of Safety, Environment, and Stakeholder Management in project success. Reinforcing Nesma & Partners’ commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S), the curriculum underscored the importance of early-stage implementation of robust plans. Participants also explored leadership in construction, the complexities of megaprojects, and the evolving global landscape. Additionally, they gained deeper insights into project delivery methods—including Design-Bid-Build, Design/Build, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP)—enhancing their ability to assess risks, evaluate advantages, and optimize execution strategies.
A key highlight was the analysis of real-world case studies presented by industry experts, addressing challenges such as complex planning, delays, and stakeholder management. The group actively engaged in decision-making, gaining hands-on experience in managing high-stakes situations and understanding how strategic leadership drives project success.
This milestone reflects Nesma & Partners’ commitment to continuous learning and strategic growth. By equipping teams with the expertise to lead large-scale projects, the company continues to drive innovation and excellence, contributing to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030.
